The Counselor Trailer Review

Video Posted on Updated on

Michael Fassbender is everywhere and is incredibly loved now. He is always working and has a lot more films coming out over the next few months and lots of future projects to work on. A project he has done recently that has me intrested is The Counselor.

The film sees Fassbender and Director Ridley Scott work together again after preometheus. The film also has a fantastic ensemble cast. The film features as well as Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Cameron Diaz. The film was also penned by Cormac Mcarthy who wrote No Country For Old Men.

The trailer does not give much away which I like very much as the very little is learnt about the films plot by watching the trailer. However this does not seem to give me enough information, however the cast alone will get me to go and see it.

Something I have an issue with is that this world that is shown in the trailer seems a bit too far fetched for a realistic crime film. I may be wrong and I hope I am wrong. I would love this to be grounded in reality but it is a work of fiction so I will not be that upset if it is not.

Apparently many studios have lost faith in Scott after his 2010 film Robin Hood did not do as well as they had hoped. The film still broke even but the studio wanted more money.

With Prometheus and now this maybe studios will have faith in Scott again. I am not sure how much this film cost to make and not sure how well it will do to a wider audience. Just because it has big names in it does not guarantee box office success.

Michael Fassbender seems to be Hollywood’s guy at the moment so hopefully this film will so well both critically and financially.

Anyway what do you think of the trailer? Are you looking forward to this film? Please comment below and thanks for reading.
